I appreciate Marina doing her own thang in this album. She’s not the traditional pop goddess. Her voice is a little too deep to pull off the jaunty tunes. But she’s got cool lyrics and a strong personality that makes each song fun in its own right. One of my favourite lines is: “drinking champagne meant for a wedding”.

If it wasn’t for the fact that this was an album about making an album (parallels with the tedium of books about writing books) it would be harder to put this in the Delete It category.

My favourite song was Shine which was a powerful ballad that Chappell Roan would be jealous of. Reminder Dad that I am keeping Project DISCard Spotify playlist updated. You should get mum to set it up for when you go to tennis or would have been perfect for the drive to Grafton.
