I remember this album being really hard to find.
I must have ended up with a dud copy as the CD takes a few goes to feed into the Bose and will pause often as though it has to think about which chords to play next. I’ve forgotten how annoying CDs are when they do that.
Great lyrics as always from Death Cab. Their songs definitely improved and become more melodic in later albums though.
Couldn’t finish the album. Half way through the Bose just totally gave up on it and reverted to silence.

If the cd played with no technical issues would that have swayed your decision
I would find it more difficult to delete cds if I’ve seen them live because it feels like a betrayal of their efforts
I was sad to learn that I think it wasn’t the CD but the BOSE wavelength. I think it overheated and wasn’t reading the CDs properly. I got it about ten years ago from gumtree and it might be at the end of its life.
I still would ditch the CD, I don’t think I’d listen to it again.
